The July Review

Right, this is getting a bit silly now - I'm convinced each month is passing quicker than the last! That said, I'm pleased to still be on the blogging wagon and am here posting my seventh monthly review.

Strictly speaking this is my 'July and first week of August' review because I'm writing this one after a busy few days celebrating my 28th birthday. I'm trying not to dwell on the number and the whole 'another year older' thing and instead feel grateful for the fun things I've done and experienced by 28.

Gone blogging The Ivy Richmond

Gone blogging Petersham Nurseries

Birthday fun
I definitely milked the celebrations with a week of birthdays lunches out, drinks with friends and celebrations with family. On the actual day, we visited the very pretty Petersham Nurseries in Richmond; browsing the garden and stopping for a drink and snack from the tea house. I also booked tickets to watch Kinky Boots at the Adelphi theatre in London - if you're looking for a fun night out, a sassy musical starring drag queens cannot be beat!

Online learning
I've been wanting to do something productive in my spare time and decided to sign up for an online course in copy writing. It's a flexible course so I can study at my own pace and not feel too pressured to hit a hard deadline. I'm actually looking forward to getting back into study mode - after all, it's never too late to learn something new!

Summer holiday!
I'm off to Cyprus next week for a family holiday in the sun. It's been a few years since we've been away together so I'm looking forward to lots of pool time and trips out to explore Paphos. Paphos is the home of Aphrodite's Rock which legend tells us is the the birthplace of Aphrodite. Based on my very rocky love life, I think a visit to the Goddess of Love's original stomping ground is definitely needed!

So all in all, I've had a good start to 28. It's been a busy start and I think there will be some interesting changes on the horizon. More trusting my gut and hopefully 28 will be a great one!

How was your July? And if you are a July or August baby, Happy Birthday to you!
